Questions about the straw
Can I put the straws in the dishwasher?
Yes. In laboratory testing according to DIN EN 12875, the straws withstood 125 wash cycles at 55 °C without visible change. For smoothies and thick drinks we also recommend a cleaning brush.
Are the straws suitable for hot drinks?
Yes, the straws are also suitable for hot drinks.
Are the straws suitable for children?
The straws do not shatter and do not get as cold as metal even in iced drinks. As with any straw, young children should be supervised.
How long does a straw last?
A very long time with normal use. As soon as a straw is visibly damaged, it should be replaced and disposed of via recycling collection.
Are the straws covered by the ban on single-use plastics?
The ban under EU Directive 2019/904 applies to single-use plastic straws. GV Trinkhalme are designed for repeated use and are dishwasher-resistant.
